Disgusting

Wanna know what I think the most disgusting thing in the world is? Walking up the the checkout of a grocery store and seeing 100 different magazines about celebrities and diets. Seriously, what the FUCK is up with that?

No newspapers, no business magazines, but 100 magazines about who might be pregnant and how to lose 20 pounds in a week. All of course with a picture of some airbrushed/photoshopped star on the cover to make everyone feel ugly. Which, in fact, seems to work wonders with the advertisement of an article about weight loss >_>

Seriously though, i wanna track down these magazine companies and ram coal down their throats. I could understand maybe having one magazine for this filth, maybe 2 for fair competitions. But there are hundreds out there. It's disgusting. It's inexcusable. It's simply stupid.

But people keep buying this shit. God damn. It's like watching a dog eat it's own shit. It's horrible. All filler, no content. Lies, slander, and useless information.

And this is just in a grocery store, there are thousands more in places that only sell magazines.

Fuck that shit, just fuck it.

Cheers.

P.S. Sorry for the language today folks, this stuff just really... well I've already made my point.

CUF: I'll just leave this here...

A story idea fragment I've had rolling around in my head for the past couple weeks...

--------------------------
...His heart still beating as his hands shaking, it took him a few seconds to realize he just saved her life. In one hand his smoking gun and in the other hand on her shoulder. He turned to look her in the eyes. She was still shaking as well. The hitman face down on the floor across the room didn't really mater anymore.

She looked him in the eyes as he leaned in for a kiss. A simple reward for saving a life was all he wanted. She turned her head away. Without a word or a sigh he understood.

He lifted his hand from her shoulder, turned, and slowly walked towards the open door from which the hitman entered. the last two sounds ever heard from him were a closing door and the sound of the last round in his gun...
--------------------------

I really want to write a story around that one scene. With better writing skills of course. because this tragedy tugs at my heart every time I think about writing it. Sad, but very possible in this day in age.

Cheers.

P.S. Happy "Completely Unrelated Friday" everyone.

What people think...

Perhaps the biggest obstacle of socializing for people. "What will people think?". This is pretty, well, stupid.

Why should you really care what people think? People will think what they will think. they'll think it alot or a little. They'll think it even if you tell them not to. People think (on occasion >_>) and there's not much you can do about it.

And who cares what they think about what you do? You shouldn't. You should only really care about what you think. Are you having fun? No? Then go have some fun. Don't care about what people think.

Besides, if you don't do anything, people will start to make up things to think about you, and that's even worse.

Cheers.

P.S. Go have some fun.

Bubble buster

So yeah. alot of people seem to have this social safety bubble. holding onto a single ideal to protect them from the world. Pretty shameful really. a few key points why...

-How do you know something will be bad if you never try?

-Not everybody is the same, there are plenty of possible outcomes to an action.

-Bubble people are no fun.

So let's examine these carefully. First and foremost "How do you know...". Seriously. you've got tons of people afraid to get into a relationship for no reason. There's plenty of great people and things out there. Pop your goddammed bubble and try something new.

Next, "Not everybody's the same...". Pretty simple really. everyone sems to think the same thing will happen every time you do something. No it won't. Lots of different people out there. Try once, try again, try forever and you'll succeed.

Finally, "Bubble people are no fun". Not a crack at the greatly ill, but rather a statement about the kind of people i'm talking about. Seriously, hiding is no fun, people aren't out there looking for you.

So basically, pop the bubble, break down the walls, don't assume outcomes, have some fun, try something new.

I can think of at least 5 people who should be reading this...

Cheers.

2 steps forward...

I don't know why but I always find I'm at least 1 year ahead of the thought process of everyone else. With that in mind I'd like to list off the trends for next year.

-Leather is a pretty comfy style of jacket, it's coming back.

-Religion will gain more followers, but thankfully they'll be smarter ones.

-Milk products will be the big no-no for yo-yo diets.

-Don't Let's Start will be the surprise blockbuster for the year.

-Teenage sex rates will drop but teenage pregnancy will rise.

How do i predict these? Because this is how I feel now, thus, this is how the world will feel in a year.

Cheers.

Monday is no reason to pout

Everyone seems sad and tired on Mondays. Sure the weekend is over, but there's no reason to be down. Cheers up, buck up, enjoy the day rather than the end. It's a pretty simple theory. cheers up.

Even if something bad did happen on the weekend, so what? It's a new day. Dawn of a new day here people. Welcome to a slightly newer life I suppose. Great fun, great times, lots of stuff can happen. think big, think positive, at least think anyways.

Short blog today but get's my point across. Enjoy a new day for what it is, not sulk for what is over.

Cheers.

Invisible shame

Ever answer a question with "It's just wrong"? Is so, please continue reading.

I have been doing some thinking about the human mind and it's tendencies. I've notice something interesting. People will say something is wrong without reason simply because that's what they've heard.

Now picking examples of this that are SFW [1] is kind of difficult. But let's take eating cereal without any milk as an example. Why don't people do it? Because they were always shown to put milk on it. I'll eat cereal without milk. It still tastes the same. It has a better crunch too. Sure it's a bit dry but it's still pretty good.

Now think for a second. Thin k of something you disagree with. Some ideal you have that you stick by. Now think "why?". If the answer is "it's just wrong to/not to", read this article again.

It really is a pe peeve of mine when people can't provide a logical excuse for their actions. It really doesn't make sense to hold onto outdated ideals. They can really hold one back from even trying things. So, give stuff a try, break some old ideals. Think, think you ****ing sheep.

If this article is hoping all over the place and doesn't make much sense, drop me a line.
Cheers.

I kissed a WHARGRBL

So there''s this song see. It's a pretty gay song actually. It's called "I kissed a girl" and it's about a super sneaky lesbian. The song itself is a horribly transparent reproduction of the standard shit that is spewed out of record companies these days. The worst part is because it's popular music [1] it's not going away. Clogging up the radio (the ONLY radio station in this town by the way) and overflowing the dances and public get togethers. Sure lesbians are hot, but there music is not.

Apparently a background beat ( I could make myself) that loops constantly coupled with sensual lyrics counts as gret music these days. What a shame really. Sure it's good because now anyone with a D-cup bra and singing lessons can be a star but honestly, what the hell?

So I'm gonna go polish my axe and maybe I'll be able to talk some sense into the artist who made this song.

Cheers.

CUF: A dastardly comparison

Scarier than dividing by zero, I'm going to compare apples and oranges today.

Apples and oranges have many similarities. They're both classified as fruit, they are both kind of sweet (apples more sweet than oranges most of the time), there colors are very vibrant.

Apples and Oranges have their differences though. Apples are harvested later in the year than oranges. Oranges are in fact, usually orange while apples can have many colors. Oranges make orange juice and apples make apple juice.

I personally like apples more because they are often sweeter. I like orange juice more though because it is super healthy for you.

I just compared apples and oranges.
Cheers.

Pseudo Smart

Doesn't it feel like today that anyone who's read a good quote on call of Duty or has watched an episode of Dr. Phil thinks they are a genius? You know these people. They're never wrong until they change their mind.

Now I myself do not claim to be a genius, but I know bullshit when I see it. but not just bullshit, but bullshit wrapped around a single fact or ideal.

That's all I really have to say for today, I'm busy playing doctor but I try not to miss updates.
Cheers.

For mild people only...

Religion eh?

Yeah so religion is this thing that gives you a crapton of morals and stories to wade through so you can live your life better and be part of a worldwide community. But it certainly has it's flaws. These flaws of course revolve around the people which follow it. You see religion is for mild people. Mild people are people who don't take everything 100% serious.

You see the morals are pretty good for the most part (with the exception of some discrimination brought on from time to time) but the stories cause problems for serious people. People taking these stories as fact and the only truth begin to create their own morals and ideals. these ideals impede the progress of academic studies and equal rights. I don't have to give examples of this, you should already know.

So religion is for mild people. People who just need a little guidance and a place to be welcome. Not for people who believe only one truth and preach that. Loud people are really not welcome.

I myself am not exactly religious. I don't have much faith. I do however see the appeal of religion. I just which that people would take the time and step back every once and awhile to see more of the world.

Cheers.

P.S. Homosexuality isn't wrong, it's just like freeing the slaves, it scares rich white people.

Until it's gone...

Normally I wouldn't talk about myself for a whole blog post, t today's topic is rather close to my heart. It's a little bit of misunderstanding myself and a little bit of psychology. I would like to note that one thing have have trouble with is understanding people, sometimes even myself.

I'd like to talk about missing someone. I'm not talking about an ex or a childhood friend. I'm talking about my own mother.

Cat's out of the bag right there, I am without a mother. She's gone, no exceptions, only memories remain.

I won't even let you try and imagine that. It's just no good.

Now to the psychology bit. See, there are more things you can miss about a person then the person them self. I miss someone being there that loved me. I really do. It's a bit pathetic, but I'm lonely.

This fact became apparent to me upon a series of sudden realizations. It's true and I will have to accept it.

I guess that pretty much covers today's topic. I would like to end by apologizing to anyone I have ever been rather friendly too over the past few years. I'm honestly, deep down, just a little lonely.

I'm starting to have tears to build up a little, time to close things up for the day.
Cheers.

Aaaaaaaaaand we're back!

Two functions of todays title. One being I'm back from my little trip over the weekend. the other being relation to the topic at hand. Commercials on television.

Seriously, there are way to many commercials at great frequency. I'm only getting 15 minutes of content from 30 minute TV shows these days. It's not like they're different commercials either. Pretty much the same 5 over and over again in the same show. This usually related to the demographic which watches said show.

The other day I watched a taped version of a 1967 hockey game, the stanley cup in fact (Last time the Leafs won it sadly). It had 2 commercial breaks and they were pretty short. It was great.

That's my rant for the day,
Cheers.

CUF: Cyan

Welcome to the first ever COMPLETELY UNRELATED FRIDAY. On fridays you can expect blog posts that are really zany and unrelated to anything that really matters. Today's topic: Cyan is a kick-ass colour.

Seriously, it's like blue, and green, then some more blue. It's kinda light but not bright. It's soft on the eyes but pleasing to the senses.

I may like redheaded women, and I like mah veggies green, but aside from that I love the color cyan.

CYAN CYAN CYAN CYAN CYAN

Seriously. Cyan is just plain awesome. I wish the sky was cyan. And the ocean too. Cyan cars driving down the road. Redheads in cyan lingere. I could go one and on.

Cyan is absolutely awesome. I wish I had more cyan clothes.

------------------------

I'll be taking a trip this weekend so don't expect any updated 'til Monday. Have a great weekend.

Cheers.

I can STRESS this enough... hahaha... haha... ha

People are way too stressed about everything these days. I try to be an exception to this though. What are people stressed about these days? Whether they get what they want basically.

Let's start with women (I'm talking about women because rule 30[1] probably applies). Men want women. Men get sad when they lose their women, a little too sad. But it's not really sad, it's more of angry and stressed out. angry because they lost something they wanted and stressed because they're trying to get everything back. To me this is utter bullshit. If you really had great feelings for someone, you'd be able to let them go and experience other things and people.[2]

Then people are stressed about getting a good report (whether be from tests or peers) rather than actually, y'know, putting in effort the whole time. If you put in enough effort you should be completely satisfied with your outcome. And you should learn to relax too. If you're stressed you'll have an influenced thought process which will help you even less. so just relax.

So my point is, relax, chillout, etc. Right now I'm mellowing out by listen to some Pink Floyd and talking to myself in this blog. So just relax, stress can only hurt you so take the time to see beyond your wants and just enjoy the people and the places around you.

Here's the verse playing now:
"Relax, relax, relax,
It's just a little pin-prick.
Ahhhhh-ahh-ahhh,
you may feel a little sick"

Cheers.

Simplicity in a complex world.

Simplicity is simply simple. The world however is chaotic. But people, people think they have to be complex. everything good must be bought or picked apart apparently. This is completely idiotic.

Y'know what I enjoy? Staring at a starry sky, a woman's smile, taking a dump, etc. Simple things overall. Free, linear, not very deep.

Why can't people be like this? Instead of all spending $20 to go see a movie and have snacks then complain about how terrible it was, why can't we all go stare at the night sky? Or maybe tell a few jokes to each other?

It's a crazy enough world as it is, let's stop making things so difficult for ourselves and each other.

Cheers.

P.S. Forrest Gump had a pretty good idea of life...

Primary Priorities

Priorities are what help us make decisions in life. We set values which cannot be measured onto our choices and resources via comparison and though. Simple idea really. But our thought process does not seem to pass us these days.

Relationships for example. Most people say to themselves "She's the most important thing in the world to ME, what can I do to make her love ME?"

2 problems with the above... erm... problem. First being the setting of "her" as the number one priority in you life. Second being the direct relation between her and your wants.

I'll be hnest, I'd love a date with a pretty little red head. But I don't think about it or long for it or even try for it. Why you ask? Because this is my list of priorities:

1. Everyone else.
2. Me

Short, sweet, to my point.

People need to learn think past themselves and try and see what's best for everyone. If everyone had a priority list like the one above, the world would run alot smoother.

Unrelated note: i found the edit option for blog posts so I'll be cleaning errors up from now on. Hooray!

Is Sarah Palin a natural blonde?

The US elections are happening soon, tomorrow soon. With that in mind i'd like to share with you all one of my deepest fears, Sarah Palin as vice president (maybe even THE president...).

Scary shit here folks, scary shit.

Small town politician from Alaska, believes that "God has a plan for Iraq" (she really said that by the way), has no idea of the real name of Canada's prime minister, and is a scary religious person. (1)

Not exactly the brightest of people either. I don't need an example, just find anything she has ever said and you'll realize America is fucked if she ever has to make any national decisions.

Cheers.

Notes:
(1) Scary religious person: Really believes the Bible is all truth and is in (or close to) a position of great power.

Mumble Beginings

Welcome to my first blog post, there's a good chance you are here because I asked you to come here.

I'd like to note the one main point about my blogs right away. You probably won't agree with me. Why you ask? Because my thought process is far different from most peoples (and I'm not talking about any of that "I play Dungeons and Dragons so I'm unique" bullshit). I'm different in a way that can be summed up in the following, only closed-minded and/or minimal thinking people cal me an idiot. You'll see as posts go by.

Myself aside, I'd like to talk about the content of this blog. There are no plans for this to be a "this is what I did today" blog. I'll be taking on issues that'll make you think (and possibly make you want to strangle me). Stuff like human emotion, women, society, religion (people seem to love it when i talk about religion), and many other deep subjects.

So, stay tuned. I'll see if I can update daily. I'm sure there will always be an interesting topic at hand. Hope i can count on you all to visit regularly and think. Thinking is the key.

Cheers.
